Today, serve-recieve worked well for Japan. As a result, everything went well as expected. Thanks to Sakashita (No.18) who played amazingly volleyball.

What are the weakpoints of the current Japanese women team?

IMHO, there are some points that the team should improve.

1. Most important thing, the motivation to play the best form.
2. Passion
3. Team leader
4. Recieption
5. More variations of attacking includes the combination of spiking.
6. Serve-recieve
7. Blocking technique

And,,,,,,,,,,many rooms to improve to reach the level of world class teams should have.

Thailand downed Japan 3-2

JPN:THA (25-19, 20-25, 18-25, 25-20, 11-15)

The 2-day-in-a-row lossing, IMHO, a new head coach should take take a resposibility, and resign as soon, with these hopeless-play defeated. The playing style of this new Japanese team was not as good as it used to be. The current coach seems to be talented for the V-Leaque, but not for international competitions particularly in WGP 2009.

They players played without motivations, without heart, while the coach did nothing to take the team's feet back on the ground.

Sometimes, Japanese should try to learn to be more aggressive not just saying "never mind" iidesu kinishinai.

สำหรับทีมญี่ปุ่น..โค้ชมานาเบะคงต้องขอบคุณโค้ชยานางิโมโต้ที่ปูทีมไว้ให้อย่างดีก่อนหน้า..ทั้งผู้เล่นสายเลือดใหม่(ในตอนนั้น)ทั้ง-เมกุ-ซาโอริ-คานะ-เอริกะ-โอโทโม่-คาวาอิ ที่ป๋าเคี่ยวมาไว้ให้เป็นอย่างดี เหมือนที่โจ๊คบอกว่า "ผู้เล่นหลักๆ 2 คน เลิกเล่น คือ ชิน กับ สุกียาม่า และก็เป็น หลุมที่กว้างพอสมควร ที่ทีมญี่ปุ่นต้องหาคนมาถม" ซึ่งอาจจะยังไม่ลงตัว..สมูธเหมือนเดิมมากนัก แต่คงต้องใช้เวลากันอีกซักหน่อย ซึงญี่ปุ่นทีมนี้เป็นทีมที่น่ากลัวอีกทีมนึง สามารถเอาชนะจีนมาได้(เจอกัน2ครั้งชนะทั้ง2ครั้ง)รวมทั้งสามารถเอาชนะทีมอย่างคิวบาและรัสเซียได้เช่นกัน เกมส์บุกยังต้องอาศัยตัวจ่ายบอลหลักอย่างทาเคชิตะที่ปรุงแต่ง..ปั้นบอลได้อย่างสวยงาม..ประเคนให้นางงามทั้งหลายตบกัน จะมีแค่บอลที่ชินและสุกี้เล่นที่หายไป(สปีดบอลเร็วๆๆเร่งๆๆหายไป..ชัดเจน แต่จะเห็นสปีดแบบนั้นกลับมาแน่นอน) แต่สิ่งทีเพิ่มเข้ามาคือ..การรุกจากแดนหลังที่เพิ่มขึ้น..มีคาโน่ ไมโกะ มาตีอีก1ตัว..3ตัวเชียว..(ไม่รู้จะมีบอลXจากแดนหลัง..เหมือนที่เราได้เห็นบอลกระเติงจากแดนหลังที่ทาเคชิตะเซตให้ไออิตีมาแล้วในเอเธนส์ ที่เห็นตอนนี้ก็มีแดนหลังทั้งซ้าย-กลาง-ขวา) แน่นอนว่าเกมส์บลอคที่ดีขึ้น..ไมโกะ184หน้าบลอคดีขึ้นแน่นอน เหลือแค่ว่าโค้ชมานาเบะจะวางตัวให้แมวรึว่าไมโกะมาเล่นตำแหน่งบีหลังแทนชิน(คล้ายๆๆจะเป็นไมโกะนะ..แต่สมัยที่ชินอยุ่ก็สลับๆๆกะแมวกันตลอด) ซึ่งถ้าเอาแมวเล่นบีหลัง เราอาจจะได้เห็นการกลับอย่างเต็มตัวของโอยาม่า คานะ (คิดว่ารอร่างกายฟิตพร้อม100%) ซึ่งจะทำให้เกมส์รุกของญี่ปุ่นน่ากลัวขึ้นอีกเป็นกอง(แต่สปีดบอลก็ยังคงไม่เร็วเท่ามะก่อนอยู่ดี) เรื่องเกมส์รับของญี่ปุ่น ก็ยังมีข้อบกพร่องบ้าง (ช่วงแรกๆมิซูโฮ อิชิดะลง6ตัวแรก..บอลแรกก็แอบป๊อปคอร์นมากมาย) คงต้องฝึกซ้อมกันยิ่งๆๆขึ้นไป..

Are they really retired??

I am wondering if the Japanese players competed in Beijing Olympics Games will no longer come back for the national team?????
My question is due to the interview of the current Japanese head coach Sadatoshi Sugawara given on 6th October after his team defeated to Korea 0-3 sets.


“We are newly-formed team. Most of my girls are still young and inexperienced. The senior players are taking a one-month break after they competed in the Beijing Olympic Games. However, I don’t think they will return to join the team anymore. After this championship, we will return to Japan . Everyone gets ready to play for her own clubs in the National Volleyball League,”

Newly-formed Japan defeated 2-3 sets to Thailand

In the 3rd-place match between host Thailand and a newly-formed Japan today, Thailand eventually took a bronze medal with 3-2 sets won. (28 - 26, 23 - 25, 18 - 25, 25 - 21, 15 - 7)
